Action Auctions

Action Auctions combines a 50-50 with a silent auction to gamify philanthropy! Accessible via web app, users are asked to donate as much or as little as they'd like to a specific charity. The kicker is that the highest contributor wins half the total amount raised. Despite being in private beta mode, Action Auctions has already raised over $25,000 for the Against Malaria Foundation, which is currently ranked as the single most effective charity in the world (according to independent evaluator givewell.org). Action Auctions was recently selected to participate in the inaugural MassChallenge Rhode Island accelerator.
