“Action for Well Being” or AWB is a registered NGO of 2019 but it remained dormant for a long time until now. In January 2022, the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi organised a three days fest on the queer community whose main agenda was visibility, education and inclusivity. It culminated with a grand pride march inside the institute campus. The founder of AWB, Mr Suraj Tomar attended this event and asked his partner, Mr Abhishek Dey, who is a student in that institute about organising events to sensitise people, especially teachers and students about the LGBTQIA+ community. The mere urge for an inclusive society brought this NGO back to life. Since then AWB is working steadily to work for a more inclusive India.
PS AWB is a product of love and compassion contained in the hearts of two gay men and the love and empathy they receive from the world.
