About Compassion In Action Foundation
The Compassion In Action Foundation (CIAF) was founded March 25, 1997. It is incorporated in the State of Illinois, registered with the IRS as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, EIN #36-4148491. The mission of CIAF is to support grassroots humanitarian projects. From the founding of CIAF until the present, CIAF has been supporting an orphanage in Ethiopia. The orphanage provides support and services to disadvantaged families and women, in addition to orphans. CIAF will continue to support the orphanage, but will now embark on another crucially important project: sustaining livelihoods while cleaning up coastlines.
