About Active Alert(TM) Network
As the number of senseless mass shootings continues to rise, Active Alert(TM) Network was developed to save lives and deter would-be shooters from carrying out their vicious attacks. When seconds count, Active Alert Network effectively alerts students, teachers, and others of an active life-threating incident. The Active Alert Network utilizes 5G wireless technology and is active 24/7/365. With a 4,000-foot range, the system can cover an entire school property. Utilizing small wireless alert buttons, either mounted in a classroom or carried by staff and school resource officers, a comprehensive network of monitoring is created. When an active shooter with a weapon is spotted, the control button is pushed to activate the Active Alert. Within nanoseconds, sirens sound, a lockdown condition is announced throughout the school and its surrounding area, the shooter’s position is noted, and law enforcement is notified via a “Priority One” communication. With the Active Alert Network, a shooter is isolated either inside or outside of the school being deterred by loud sirens and instructions warning occupants of the danger. Approximately 70 percent of attackers will run if they feel they have been observed, and alarms are ringing. Active Alert can be installed, tested, and in full deployment in less than two days. The cost to install the Active Alert Network is minimal compared to the cost of lives, in some cases only 5-7 cents per day per student. Public entities and nonprofits can purchase the system from the NASPO Cloud Services Contract. Active Alert Network was developed by Silent Solutions Security, Inc. and distributed exclusively through Intelligent Wireless Sensor Network, Inc.
