About Active Farmers

Active Farmers is a NFP and health promotion charity. It was founded in 2015 in response to the growing concerns about mental health issues in rural areas, growing isolation rising from expanding farm technology, and the scarcity of locally available health and wellbeing activities in small rural communities. Active Farmers proactively addresses rural and remote farming community access issues through regular group fitness in a fun and interactive environment. Active Farmers currently operates in 63 small rural communities across Australia with a target of 100 communities by the end of 2024.
