About Active8

Active8 is a Cornish charity which aims to empower and motivate young people, aged 14-30 years old, who have a physical disability. We develops members skills, confidence, support structures and aspirations through fun and sociable day activities and overnight residentials. We work with our members to challenge the status quo and to be a catalyst for improvement in their own and communities' quality of life through various advocacy work. Active8 was founded in 1990, when a young man with a physical disability wanted to get together with other young people going through similar experiences.
