About ACTPAC Project
ACTPAC aims to establish a complete industry-viable transformation route for the conversion of non-degradable plastic wastes into high value chemicals as well as to synthesise biodegradable polyesters with PE-like properties. Thus, a zero-pollution, bio-based solution to the existing environmental challenge is created, by keeping plastic wastes out of the environment, while reclaiming their values for a better circular bioeconomy. To this end, a series of technologies and innovative chemo-/biological transformation systems will be developed and demonstrated at pilot scale. Two novel arrays of monomers value-added chemicals with differing chain lengths will be developed. Correspondingly, a broad spectrum of polymer products with different properties and thus suitable for various application will be produced. Funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or European Research Executive Agency. Neither the European Union nor the granting authority can be held responsible for them.
