ACTRA Alberta represents the interests of almost 1,321 members and is one of the nine branches of ACTRA, the national union of over 30,000 professional performers working in English-language recorded media in Canada.
ACTRA’s mission is to provide its performers with a place of strength and safety they are proud to call home. As such, we focus on achieving two main goals: build on our experience in negotiating some of the best collective agreements in the world for our performers; and further ACTRA’s role as a leading advocate for Canadian culture.
As a member-run organization, the elected leaders from within the ACTRA membership create policy, which ACTRA staff are responsible for administering through its day-to-day operations.
