ACTRA Alberta

ACTRA Alberta represents the interests of almost 1,321 members and is one of the nine branches of ACTRA, the national union of over 30,000 professional performers working in English-language recorded media in Canada. ACTRA’s mission is to provide its performers with a place of strength and safety they are proud to call home. As such, we focus on achieving two main goals: build on our experience in negotiating some of the best collective agreements in the world for our performers; and further ACTRA’s role as a leading advocate for Canadian culture. As a member-run organization, the elected leaders from within the ACTRA membership create policy, which ACTRA staff are responsible for administering through its day-to-day operations.
