Acts of Grace

Acts of Grace is a non-profit charitable organization that was founded by Associate Clinical Psychologist Amanda Fraser in 2015. The organization was founded out of a desire for Amanda to help others who were suffering psychologically and financially. Since its conception, Acts of Grace has expanded, and now its mission is directly aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals which were implemented by the United Nations. The Acts of Grace team focuses on these 17 goals, and spends their resources and time in ensuring that these goals are achieved. Thus far, some of the projects that the Acts of Grace team has completed in order to aid with meeting the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 are:  Raised $3,600 US in order to build a house with Food for the Poor for a family who is financially constrained (SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 17: Partnership for the Goals).  Raised $295,000 JMD which was donated to three Children’s Homes in Manchester, Jamaica in order to help with the education of their resident children (SDG 4: Quality Education).  Held 2 clothing drives which garnered over 5000 items of clothing donated to the Salvation Army, St. Vincent of the Paul Society, St. John Bosco Children’s Home, Mount Olivet Boy’s Home, Hanbury Home and the Ebenezer Home for the Mentally Disabled (SDG 1: No Poverty)  Hosted 2 blood drives which garnered over 50 donations for the National Blood Transfusion Service in Jamaica in order to help alleviate the issue of shortage of blood in the national supply (SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being). The Acts of Grace Team has thus far raised and donated $1,000,600 JMD in cash and services for the betterment of Jamaica. Thus far, the organization has impacted over 5000 individuals’ lives.
