Aquaculture Council of Western Australia Inc.

Located in Nedlands, Aquaculture Council WA is an independent incorporated peak body for the Western Australian aquaculture industry. Established in 1981, ACWA is a member driven organisation working to provide strategic leadership for the sustainable development of the aquaculture industry. ACWA’s membership includes growers of a range of species including (but not limited to) abalone, bivalve shellfish, coral and live rock, marine and freshwater finfish, marron, prawns, yabbies, and seaweed and marine algae. Our membership spans the Kimberley to Esperance and includes both marine and land-based aquaculture operators. ACWA membership is available to anyone in Western Australia who holds an authorisation issued to permit them to engage in commercial aquaculture, has a demonstrable record of activity in commercial aquaculture, or is an academic, scientist or other professional with expertise in aquaculture. Incorporated associations with similar interests in commercial aquaculture, universities, or tertiary institutions and/or research institutes in the field of commercial aquaculture may also join ACWA.
