Connecting Youth One Conversation At A Time. Adam’s Apples Foundation was created to honour the legacy of Adam Hryhorchuk, who passed away at the age of 22 from an accidental drug overdose. Adam struggled with drug addiction and mental health throughout his adolescence. Through a simple bowl of apples, our foundation encourages youth to connect, share, inspire, and grow with one another, creating a supportive environment for youth. Additionally, our mental health literacy programs provide all grade students with access to age appropriate lessons under the umbrella of social-emotional learning and mental health literacy, as it is our belief that early education and opportunities for interpersonal connection are the greatest prevention tool against the development of maladaptive behaviours and negative mental health outcomes.
