Adamah is an ancient word. It comes from Biblical Hebrew (אדמה) and means “soil”, but not just any soil. It refers to fertile, living, sacred soil. The raw material that holds the power of creation.
It was from this soil, Adamah, that, according to Judeo-Christian tradition, The Lord formed the human being.
Not by coincidence, Adam (in Hebrew, אָדָם) carries in his name the origin from which he came: the living ground, the foundation of everything, the first fruit of creation.
