ADAPA A/S - Adaptive Moulds

Adapa was conceived in the summer of 2010 in Aalborg, Denmark. Our founders were fuelled by the desire to transcend the limits of traditional architecture and sought to give the world more contemporary designs that are befitting of the 21st century. Over the course of the past decade, the idea grew from having a simpler and streamlined modular mould production method for various types of surfaces, to the advanced Adaptive Mould technology that we have today. The Adaptive Mould is a state-of-the-art technology that leverages lean manufacturing principles, to produce double-curved and single-curved panels. The reconfigurable nature of this mould allows it to create non-repetitive shapes with lower production costs and effort. Our Research & Engineering division is continually re-imagining how materials are formed and is striving to incorporate those capabilities into our moulds. The scope and possibilities using this mould are endless. So far, our mould has been used to fabricate everything from the interior facades of a national museum to thermoformed panels of racing boats.
