Adaptation International focuses on helping communities, businesses, and organizations prepare for the impacts of climate change. Adaptation International specializes in bridging the gap between climate science and community action and developing the tools and strategies necessary to mainstream climate change preparedness. Adaptation International staff has expertise in climate change science, adaptation strategy development and prioritization, public health, public policy, strategic planning, community engagement, and stakeholder involvement. The firm has extensive experience translating climate science so that it is useful and actionable for local decision makers. Adaptation International has worked directly with local decision makers, community members, and other stakeholders in Seattle, Austin, Tucson, and the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe in the Pacific Northwest. The primary focus of Adaptation International’s work is on assessing the needs of the community and developing and prioritizing effective adaptation and engagement strategies. We also develop software and other tools that are necessary to support our clients climate resilience efforts and share adaptation strategies.
