Additive Manufacturing Group (AMG)

Founded in 2015, the Additive Manufacturing Group (AMG) is a research group at McMaster University. The AMG supports academic research and educational programs in the field of Additive Manufacturing (AM) with applications in various industries including but not limited to the aerospace, automotive, biomedical and tool industries. Our research foci include: - Design for Additive Manufacturing (AM) - Multi-Scale Modelling and Simulation of AM Processes - Alloy design for AM - AM of metal matrix composites (MMCs) and functionally graded materials (FGMs) - In-Process Monitoring and Control of AM Processes - Hybrid Additive/Subtractive Manufacturing
