My name is Kate Russell and I am The Conflict Coach. I am a team builder. I help leaders and their teams to communicate better. I also help leaders feel more confident managing their team by coaching them to set boundaries and to be more assertive with their team; whilst at the same time being respectful and emphatic to everyone on their team. As part of the process, it is important to recognise that conflict is inevitable. It’s important that we don’t agree on everything. It helps us grow and see different perspectives. It is often the trigger for innovation. But sometimes, if not managed well, it can become destructive and become the focus of the team People stop speaking up, gossip occurs and trust is damaged.
