ADHD Action
Lobbying and building awareness for much needed change using the power of people's stories.
I gave a speech at Labour Conference on Sept 24th, to highlight as a patient my frustrations with the lack of funding for ADHD and awareness across all areas of society.
I'm now calling for not only an All Party Parliamentary Group on ADHD alone, but and #ADHDact, as already exists for Autism.
Since then, I've spoken to three Shadow Secretaries of State about this - for Health, Justice and Education, all of whom agree with an APPG, and health affirming that an ADHD Act is a good idea.
I am in the process of setting up ADHD Action as a fully registered charity to deliver our goals and furthering progress made this week at conference.
This will be a cross party effort, despite my membership of a party, as ADHD is apolitical.
