Advanced Shade Systems

Advanced Shade Systems started out in 1996 as a small residential shade sail manufacturer and installer in South East Queensland. The company's reputation for designing, manufacturing and installing high quality shade systems quickly spread via word-of-mouth around Brisbane. For a number of years, the majority of sales came from returning customers or new clients who had been referred to us by a family member or friend. Over time, Advanced Shade Systems began offering small shade solutions to commercial clients; a market which held substantial opportunities for the company. In recent years our company has experienced significant growth in this market, leading us to change our target market from residential to commercial clients only. Many of our projects now require considerable amounts of dedicated staff time and resources. During the year 2009, the company successfully evolved to meet these new demands by hiring new staff and the refinement of supplier arrangements. The co-founders Eric Lewis and Lorraine Shrubb still hold key roles within the company. Eric is the company Director and also the designer for all of the tension membranes we create. He holds Professional Indemnity insurance for the design component of his work. Lorraine is the Production Manager for the company. Their strong partnership and passion for the business has been a major contributor to the success of Advanced Shade Systems. Our Mission To design and construct the highest quality, innovative, tensioned membranes and deliver outstanding service. We achieve this by employing the best people who work together in a happy, healthy, and productive environment. Our Philosophy Our company motto is “do it right the first time”. This approach is applied at every stage of the design and construction process across both product and service areas. The quality of our proposals, customer service and ultimately the final product reflect our application of this philosophy.
