Adventus Capital Partners Ltd. is the asset manager for Adventus Realty Trust (collectively, "Adventus"). Adventus Realty Trust is a private Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) formed in early 2012. Adventus is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and is focused on US income producing commercial real estate, in the suburban office market of Chicago, Illinois, and Atlanta, Georgia. Adventus has acquired fourteen properties to date, with values totaling approximately US $835 million, which gives us a portfolio of commercial real estate of approximately 4.5 million square feet. Adventus plans on acquiring additional properties as opportunities become available. We have gained a reputation as an active buyer in the suburban Chicago and Atlanta markets (with the ability to close quickly on acquisitions), providing us a solid flow of both on and off-market opportunities. Our formula for acquiring properties is straight forward; we only consider properties that we can buy at significantly below replacement cost, that can operate at a healthy profit margin and have realistic potential to appreciate in value as the market gains strength. We see our Adventus principles as an ideal way to build a portfolio of projects that are acquired at attractive prices, operate efficiently at a profit, and have excellent potential for value appreciation. These principles also give us the opportunity to pay a regular cash distribution, while still offering significant growth for our unitholders.
