I am an experienced asset and portfolio investment manager in the commercial real estate realm. Most recently, I was part of the team at Adventus Capital Partners, a fiduciary for a privately-held REIT focused on income-producing commercial real estate in select U.S. cities. Previously, with one of Canada’s largest real estate investment advisors, I had regional asset management responsibility for almost $1B CDN of office and industrial properties, overseeing of the leasing, property management, development, environmental and insurance risk mitigation, co-ownership administration and valuation functions. With the same firm, on a nation-wide basis with our portfolio investment management team, I also served our largest pension fund client, working to develop investment strategies, undertaking market research, coordinating client reporting functions, and ensuring that corporate fiduciary obligations (e.g. legal, insurance, environmental risk mitigation, financial reporting, etc.) to our client were being met. My prior background in valuation analysis has also proved advantageous in understanding the financial nuances of proposed investment and major lease transactions.
