The Advocate is the local news source for four Dallas, Texas, neighborhoods: Lakewood/East Dallas, Lake Highlands, Oak Cliff, and Preston Hollow. We also have a digital and print publication in Plano, Texas. The Advocate began with the monthly Lakewood/East Dallas magazine in 1991, followed a year later with the Lake Highlands magazine. We added our Preston Hollow magazine in 2000, Oak Cliff in 2008 and Plano in 2020.
