L'association économique de Gland et région (AEGR) a été crée en 1983. Sa vocation est de coordonner les efforts de ses affiliés pour la sauvegarde de leurs intérêts. Pour y parvenir, elle prend toutes les initiatives requises afin d'améliorer les conditions économiques de la région : organisation de manifestations, information, concertation et propositions aux autorités municipales. L'AEGR dispose de son propre journal : Gland Cité. Tiré à plus de 11'000 exemplaires et distribué gratuitement six fois par année dans tous les ménages de Gland et environs, ce support offre une excellente vitrine publicitaire aux commerçants et artisans locaux.
