Launched by College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) in late 2014, the Association for Executives in Health Information Technology, or AEHIT, has over 300 members worldwide and is comprised of senior and executive-level healthcare technology leaders.
Healthcare technology is what we see and touch, whether it's a computer terminal at a nurse’s station or a pulse oximeter measuring the oxygen saturation in our blood. In some ways, healthcare technology staff are the stage managers of your experience at any provider – they ensure doctors and nurses have functioning tools to get the job done and hospital staff have strong networks and working equipment. AEHIT supports these 'stage managers' in healthcare IT because without a strong network of integrated and well-maintained hardware, healthcare providers will fall behind in their ability to deliver quality care and keep patients safe.
AEHIT provides its members resources for education, professional development, and collaboration between CTOs and executive leadership in healthcare to provide better patent safety and build a better patient experience.
