There are over 15,000 Indians who serve as faculty in US universities. This group is one of the most powerful intellectual groups in the world. To help this group create an impact, there is a group called AEIOU, which stands for Associates of Indian Educators On US companies. (This group was inspired by the Late C K Prahalad; his brilliant daughter, Ms Deepa, serves on the Advisory Panel) Together these academicians have: * Published over a million papers * Taught over 10 million students * Created over 100,000 patents * Have guided over 10,000 Ph. D's * Delivered over 10,000 significant consulting assignments for Corporate America Indeed, their impact has been recognised by the highest levels of authorities. The role of AEIOU is to improve on that. Projects 101, 102, 103 and 104 are related to Indian Academicians in USA. Project 101 (US University-centric) Provide consulting for Indian Academicians in US (there are over 15,000) 1. Announce "Hall of Fame" Awards every Sep 5 (Teachers' Day) 2. Collect the bios (papers published, research areas, consulting) 3. Start with faculties in Management, Computer Science, Healthcare 4. Create Membership Program in Who's Where 5. Offer web development services 6. Create Impact Index = Students X 10 + Ph Ds X 100 + Post-docs X 1,000 7. Seek grants from government, foundations Project 102 (Technology Transfer) Identify significant technologies (there are about 1,500) available with US universities and help them to license it worldwide. Our activities include: 1. List Universities that have "Offices of Technology Transfer" 2. Identify technologies 3. Offer services to promote the technologies 4. Identify product-market segments for each technology 5. Provide Funding, Legal, Marketing services 6. Offer web development strategies 7. Seek grants Project 103 (Helping doctoral and post-doctoral students) Helping Indian doctoral students (about 15,000) find a path to become a part of the American Dream. Activities include 1. Gather information on these students from the Top 200 US universities 2. Connect with affiliates in these US universities 3. Identify candidates who are doctoral students 4. It has to be a free service: beneficiaries to commit to help future Indians 5. Provide placement services 6. Provide support services 7. Offer EB 5 services 8. Provide incubation services for those inclined to be entrepreneurs Project 104: International Students in US universities Use international student power (most powerful group) to transform the world. 1. Identify foreign students in Top 200 universities; in some cases, there are student associations dedicated to foreign students. 2. Help them by clustering them, based on country of origin. 3. Identify areas of expertise. 4. Use students to gather insights of the country of origin 5. Develop business plans for each country. 6. Offer EB 5 services Project 109: Back to School Program (socially relevant) If you have succeeded in some ways and would like to share your journey with young students, we would encourage you to come to the school where you graduated from. We will make this an event to remember! "Memorable" for you, "Gratifying" for your teachers and "Valuable" for the students. You can present to the students of the 11th and 12th grades, followed by a question-and-answer session - students are always interested to know what career options they have.. Some time could be allotted to pay your respects to the teachers who taught you. Photographs would be taken and emailed to you.
