This is possible through the implementation of carbon fiber composites in mass production, materials with the potential of reducing an 80% the part quantity in a car body and a 10% the CO2 emissions due to its lightweight.
AEON-T has solved the problem of shaping 3D fiber composite parts with high quality and high productivity - a technological barrier that prevented the implementation of large mass produced automotive composite parts - by the means of an innovative preforming technology that allows to drape complex 3D parts from 2D ply stacks, even with prepreg, with high quality in less than a minute.
