Car manufacturers are looking for alternatives to reduce their high fixed & investment costs, while reducing car weight in order to comply with CO2 emission regulations. This is possible through the implementation of carbon fiber composites in mass production, materials with the potential of reducing an 80% the part quantity in a car body and a 10% the CO2 emissions due to its lightweight. AEON-T has solved the problem of shaping 3D fiber composite parts with high quality and high productivity - a technological barrier that prevented the implementation of large mass produced automotive composite parts - by the means of an innovative preforming technology that allows to drape complex 3D parts from 2D ply stacks, even with prepreg, with high quality in less than a minute. We are a member of the Business Incubation Program of the European Space Agency, and collaborate with research institutions such as Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and Institute IMDEA Materials.
