AERGC- Association of Education & Research Greenhouse Curators

The Association of Education and Research Greenhouse Curators (AERGC) is a network of professionals involved with the management and operation of plant growth facilities at public and private universities, colleges, and research institutions. Member facilities support education, research, and/or community outreach programs. The AERGC publishes the AERGC Newsletter, an e-newsletter packed with great ideas and information. The AERGC holds an Annual Meeting at a member's institution where members can meet and knowledge share. The AERGC also provides the AERGC Forum, an e-mail discussion group, as a service to the professional plant science community. Formed in 1985, the membership of AERGC consists primarily of college and university plant growth facility staff. Interested individuals from other types of institutions, e.g. botanical gardens, research and development firms, and industry representatives are welcome as members. There are a number of members outside of North America which lend a global perspective. AERGC is an all volunteer operated organization. Members are encouraged to actively participate on one of the committees. Modest member dues defray costs associated with production of the quarterly newsletter and support the web site and email forum. The Annual Meeting costs are covered by reasonable registration fees and through the generous support of corporate sponsorship.
