Critically-Conscious Research. Researching people should not be extractive. It is our responsibility to foster reciprocal, dimensional engagements with those we study. With every respondent, we have the opportunity to facilitate mutual consciousness-raising, and hold space for the real depth of a human experience. Our approach is informed by awareness practices, including trauma-informed somatic work, autoethnography, and deep listening.
