We create biodegradable cellulose-based aerogels in line with the current need for more sustainable materials.
Our mission is to provide a sustainable alternative to current porous materials and conventional aerogels whose biodegradability rates do not follow current zero-waste and circular economy policies. Thanks to our patented methodology, our reinforced cellulose-based aerogels are able to possess an optimum balance between high-performance, processability (both mechanical and humidity resistant), and sustainability.
Moreover, our raw materials are completely obtained from renewable sources or by-products (vine shoots, straw... etc.).
Thanks to the combination of biopolymers, our aerogels present excellent properties such as:
- Improved mechanical and humidity/water resistance
- Acoustic/Thermal insulation
- Biodegradability
As a result, our aerogels can be applied in several fields such as:
- Isothermal packaging
- Acoustic/Heat insulation in green buildings
- Agriculture
- Biomedicine
