Actuarial Foundation of Canada

The Actuarial Foundation of Canada (AFC) is the philanthropic arm of the actuarial profession in Canada, and though its mission and vision are distinct from the CIA, its activities are largely undertaken by its actuaries. YOUTH EDUCATION By supporting the AFC, you help make a difference to Canadian youth's development of mathematical and financial education through worthwhile programs and activities delivered during primary and secondary school. FINANCIAL LITERACY In addition to youth education program, the AFC sponsors post-secondary and continuing financial education and literacy programs. SPONSORED RESEARCH The AFC supports research projects of actuarial interest as well as the Actuarial Research Internship Project, which awards funding to graduate students for research projects. SCHOLARSHIPS & BURSARIES The AFC supports high school and university students pursuing math and actuarial education through the Hugh White Scholarship program, and the University of Manitoba's James Anderson Bursary fund.
