Founded in 1983 as American Fabricators & Engineers, AFE Crane has been a trusted provider of overhead lifting solutions for over 40 years. We originally operated alongside Bruns Machine, a full-service fabrication and machining business established in 1963.
In 2008, AFE Crane was acquired by a private French company under the name HDM, LLC, expanding our capabilities in material handling and industrial solutions. In 2016, we rebranded as AFE Crane to better reflect our focus on overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
In 2024, our parent company consolidated its brands under the unified identity of LAFORGE, LLC, bringing together AFE Crane and our sister company BucketMaster under one corporate umbrella. This integration allows us to leverage shared expertise, resources, and technology to better serve our customers
