We are providing support & international voice on rights & health access to underserved populations in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
We are a member of the AFEW partnership, which consists of four members operating in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Netherlands, and Ukraine.
We are:
1) Advocating for human rights for key populations and upholding their rights to health.
2) Engaging communities in developing participatory approaches.
3) Countering stigma associated with HIV/AIDS, hepatitis and TB by providing information to community leaders and creating a supportive environment.
4) Developing and support health services for key populations.
5) Utilizing innovative strategies to promote healthy behaviours.
6) Presenting the EECA HIV health/rights context at the global level – with international fora, networks and experts.
7) Linking West and East, and facilitate dialogues at regional and country level. We facilitate dialogue between governments, civil society, scientists, and health care providers.
