Our initiative focuses on a recycling system for plastic bottles and aluminum cans in Amsterdam. Our goal in 2023 is to deploy 100 Bottle Ups, capturing 10,000 kilograms (approximately 700,000 bottles) of valuable materials annually, resulting in €100,000 in deposit returns. This system provides a safe and efficient way to recycle plastic bottles and cans while helping homeless individuals earn a dignified income.
Artists Antonius and Pablo have developed this initiative with the aim of creating a positive impact on the environment and social cohesion in the city. Future plans may include expanding to other cities and involving more artists, homeless individuals, and communities in the initiative.
