Afokantan consists of two sister companies, Afokantan Benin Cashew S.A. and Afokantan Genèse Benin Sarl, that work closely together on a single mission, with a single vision. Afokantan wants to buy, process and sell high quality cashew nuts in in an economically viable, ecologically sustainable and social responsible way.
Afokantan is headquartered in Tchaourou, Benin, and is established in 2005 by White Bird International B.V. and a local business partner. As of June 2014 the company is owned by White Bird International B.V. and Incluvest B.V.
Afokantan has a medium-sized Cashew processing facility in Tchaourou, where it annually processes up to 1,500 MetricTon of Raw Cashew Nuts into White Cashew kernels for the international market.
