African Centre for Innovative Research and Development (AFRI-CIRD)

The African Centre for Innovative Research and Development (AFRI-CIRD) was established in 2017 and incorporated as a ‘Trust’ in 2018. It is a non-government, not-for-profit, non-sectarian, and non-partisan organization dedicated to research and supporting development and its aspirations in Nigeria, through research, programme design, implementation, management and support, for local, national and international organizations. AFRI-CIRD was founded by a team of dynamic, young and energetic research and development experts, who are motivated and committed to contributing their time, skills, and energies to the attainment development and its aspirations in Nigeria. AFRI-CIRD strives to bring into fore creativity, innovation, and data appreciation in the implementation and support for developmental programmes in Nigeria. The teams in AFRI-CIRD have wide range and appreciable skills and significant years of experience in research and the implementation of diverse development programmes in Nigeria and abroad. Our team members are highly skilled in organizational development, anti-corruption and good governance programmes, market development programmes, agricultural development programmes, youth and women development programmes, sexual, reproductive and health development programmes, and general baseline, midterm and end-line evaluation of development interventions in Nigeria. AFRI-CIRD has a very strong network of over 150 research and development associates spread across the 36 states in Nigeria. we envisions a friendlier and nationally developed society for the generality of the people; which is guided by quality data, values of accountability, equity, inclusion and respect for humanity. Our mission is to work for the development and empowerment of communities, institutions, and people in Nigeria, and support to addressing developmental challenges, through research, programme design, implementation, management and support.
