The Africa Architecture Students Network (AASN) was founded in 2023 during the inaugural African Congress for Architecture Students in Kampala, Uganda. It is an independent, nonprofit, student-led organization dedicated to creating a collaborative platform that unites architecture students across Africa. AASN aims to foster communication, cooperation, and the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and resources among students to shape the future of architecture on the continent.

To establish a thriving network that empowers African architecture students through collaboration, professional growth, and the promotion of design excellence, sustainability, and social responsibility.

We are committed to uniting, inspiring, and empowering African architecture students by building a supportive community, providing educational resources, and championing sustainable and culturally responsive architectural practices.
The AASN is a transformative initiative dedicated to nurturing future leaders in architecture by fostering unity, enhancing educational opportunities, and promoting socially impactful design across Africa. Together, we’re rethinking and reshaping the future of architecture on the continent. The network is governed by AUA Students Committee, representing all five regions of Africa, with the current committee serving from 2023 to 2025.

1. Fostering Collaboration and Cultural Exchange: Uniting students across Africa to share knowledge, celebrate diversity, and promote cross-cultural learning in architecture.
