To achieve its objectives, the Africa Quantum Consortium (AQC): 1) brings together quantum researchers, institutions, government and industry stakeholders in Africa and beyond, creating a vibrant ecosystem for collaboration, knowledge exchange and policy. 2) actively engages with policymakers and stakeholders to promote quantum research and development policies that align with African development goals. 3) seeks to establish Africa as a leading international hub for constructing, testing, and commercializing new quantum products and services. 4) serves as a vital gateway between Africa and the global quantum tech ecosystem, facilitating access to talent, resources, and unique perspectives from the African community. 5) actively participates in pre-standardization activities and collaborates with standardization organizations to contribute to the development of international standards in quantum technologies.
