Africadelic

Africadelic is an Amsterdam-based non-profit organization commited to the promotion of the cultural creativity and diversity in and from Africa (including the African diaspora) in the Netherlands and beyond. The organization seeks to achieve this mission by: 1. developing, producing and promoting festivals and other socio-cultural initiatives – usually consisting of music concerts, dance performances, film projects, art exhibitions and debates – with a focus on artists and audiences from Africa and the African diaspora as well as people with an interest in, and appreciation for, the cultural creativity and diversity in and from Africa; 2. programming artists from Africa and the African diaspora as well as non-African artists with an interest in, and appreciation for, the cultural creativity and diversity in and from Africa; 3. creating a network where descendants of Africans as well as non-African people with an interest in, and appreciation for, the cultural creativity and diversity in and from Africa can use their knowledge and skills for projects in the Netherlands, on the African continent and elsewhere in the world; 4. Advising, informing and guiding (government) institutions, organizations and companies about the cultural creativity, diversity, richness and complexity in and from Africa and the African diaspora; 5. Focusing on all art forms, in particular music, dance, film, theater and photography, with the main premise to use arts and culture to create awareness, exchange, dialogue and connection.
