Africa Frontier Capital (“AFC”) is a specialised debt capital raising firm established in 2014. AFC consists of a trio of investment professionals with a background in investment banking who have worked closely together for the past 14 years. AFC’s partners have been successful in issuing publicly listed multi-currency corporate bonds in South Africa, Kenya and the Nordic markets (Sweden and Norway) and raising funding on a bi-lateral basis in Botswana and Tanzania. The firm has packaged and issued both private and listed securitisation issues across numerous asset classes, including developmental housing, residential and commercial mortgages, auto-backed receivables, performing and non-performing retail loans and a variety of future-flow receivables. AFC’s experience in originating, structuring and issuing debt instruments across multinational boundaries ensures the firm is adept in the exceptional execution capabilities required when dealing with cross-jurisdictional third parties, including attorneys, ratings agencies, hedge counterparties, capital markets regulators and a diverse investor base.
