African Tech Workers Rising

African Tech Workers Rising (ATWR) is a community of African tech workers united, dedicated to bringing positive change to their workplaces. Members from across roles, such as content moderators, data annotators, call centre agents among others, come together to advocate for fair pay, mental health support, job security, and improved working conditions. ATWR is powered by workers, for workers, with the shared goal of creating a fair, safe, and supportive tech industry that respects and values every individual’s contribution. Vision: To build an equitable and respectful tech industry across Africa where workers’ rights are recognized, protected, and upheld. Mission: To empower African tech workers by building a supportive community that champions for fair treatment, advocates for workplace rights, and drives meaningful change in pay, mental health resources, and job security.
