AfriMealz is a family owned business operating in the local food sector. I have been in the food sector for over 25 years and is a qualified food technologist. The years of exposure adds value to business vision of being your future food solution partner. The business operates in 2 sectors namely a product and service offering. The vision of the business is to promote local supply of goods and services at an affordable price to all businesses but especially struggling SME’s who does not have access to implement procurement, product development or regulatory requirement standards to become more competitive.
Product offering includes:
Soya base mealz, Vegan mealz, legumes, pulses, herbs, spices, alternative meat products, meal replacements and various seasonings. These commodities are sold to businesses, old age homes and households. We use direct selling and also an online webstore to promote product and service offerings. Our products are manufactured under strict food safety standards and meets the requirements for product acceptance as per the Foods, Disinfectant and Cosmetics Act54/1972. Raw materials are only procured from reputable suppliers which meets our food safety standards. We are also constantly innovating the product basket on offer by following international research and development practices.
Service offering includes:
Product development, product re-engineering, SME food safety, health & safety, GMP’s implementation. Additional services is procumbent of various food ingredients, food packaging materials. We also started focusing on Co-Manufacturing and Co-Packing of customized products (organic chai & turmeric teas, organic hot chocolate and food grade disinfectants).
We strive to continuously improve our operational constraints to become competitive in the food sector and we have successfully included medium size businesses into our customer base.
