Afro Geek is a South African-based creative movement and inclusive platform founded in 2022 by Tapelo Zama and Neo Mothoagae. We are passionate about celebrating diversity, imagination, and the untapped brilliance within the world of geek culture—particularly through comics, animation, gaming, cosplay, tech, and storytelling. At Afro Geek, we believe representation matters. Our mission is to provide a dedicated space for underrepresented creators, especially youth from marginalized communities to showcase their talent, share their stories, and connect with wider audiences.
