In 2014, Nieslen-Essence Consumer report ranked The AFRO as the #1 African –American newspaper in the country. The AFRO publicizes the facts and considers a range of topics from Black perspective; with both historical reference and current relevance, broadening their scope and understanding of how issues impact their life, their community and the world.
