Age Ventures India

Age Ventures India (AVI) is a private, not-for-profit Trust established in November 2008 by Late. Shri Amal Ganguli, President, ‘HelpAge India’, whose mission is to provide support services to middle class elderly and all surplus income will be used solely for this purpose. AVI has a knowledge sharing agreement with HelpAge India, leaders in the field of elderly care and support in India and who have nominated the members of Age Ventures’ India Board of Trustees. One of the key objectives of Age Ventures India is to support development of Senior Retirement Communities and Care Homes/ Old Age Homes by providing technical expertise in designing of the facilities, assisting in providing amenities and services, help promote the product and subsequently manage/ help in managing the community and care home. Age Ventures India primarily works on two models; 1) Assignments based on cost recovery model We work with organizations who wish to setup integrated / standalone communities targeted towards addressing the residential/ domiciliary care needs of senior citizens. This model works on a cost recovery basis where AVI assists interested agencies in implementing their mission through knowledge support in designing, setting up and eventually managing the proposed facilities. 2) Assignments based on CSR support We assist NGO’s/ organizations in meeting their CSR objectives in the area of Old Age Care. This activity is in support of our mandate and aims and objectives of the Trust. Source of funding for assignment based activities/projects is primarily through corporate CSR and donations.
