We compensate for damage to the environment and society - with maximum impact WHAT MAKES AGESIS UNIQUE? Almost every human activity is a direct positive or negative intervention in the global ecosystem, which is based on the fabric of environment, society and economy. Each of these interventions triggers a chain of ecological and social benefits and harms that affect the well-being of people and nature and thus the sustainable securing of peace and prosperity for future generations. AGESIS determines the eco-social damage value of human activity, and compensates it by generating eco-social benefits. In order to do justice to the complexity of sustainability, the balancing of damage effects is carried out by AGESIS at the impact level. While conventional approaches to determining negative footprints have so far been limited to isolated damage dimensions (e.g. carbon footprint, water footprint, plastic footprint), the dimension of impact means the full temporal extent of eco-social damage across all possible damage categories: For one thing, damage has a temporal effect, possibly over a period of hundreds of years. On the other hand, damage has a multidimensional effect. For example, plastic can damage the health of children when it is burnt in landfills, later harm animals in rivers or oceans, and finally be deposited in human organs through ingestion and cause diseases there. We refer to the full extent of damage to humans and nature as the eco-social impact. AGESIS captures the full spectrum of the human negative footprint and compensates for the full value of harm on a holistic, global scale.
