Founded in Autumn 2021 by Nuria Castro and MNamug. Our Aims - to create a safe space to discuss and investigate ourselves, society and subjects that are considered taboo or not mainstream. - to give a platform for new voices and easy access to publishing opportunities with a focus on queer, BIPOC and underrepresented communities. The theme for our first issue is all about Celebrating Body Hair and is from the perspective of women and non-binary people. It features 100 pages of poetry, art, essays and more and showcases work from 39 contributors from around the world. Aghh! Zine issue 02“Blood” is an A5 zine, featuring sculpture, illustrations, photography and more all on the theme of blood! It is a multifaceted collection showcasing work from 62 contributors from around the world. Our other products include stickers, prints, and postcards. A few of our wins: A successful Kickstarter Campaign. Nov 2023. 3 prominent bookshops and one art gallery as stockists in Brighton and London. Our first issue is part of the Special Collections at the University of Brighton. Nominated for “BEST MAGAZINE” at the 2023 Saboteur Awards by Sabotage Reviews. Commissions: We were commissioned to create a digital zine for Lighthouse, Brighton. This is a documentation of Lighthouse Young Creatives Open Sessions #14 “Class in the Arts” April, 2023. Workshops we have facilitated: Merking Makers with Devils Dyke Network at Femfest Brighton. March 2023. A nature inspired, zine-making and creative writing workshop at The Beacon, Easbourne with Writing Our Legacy. Part of Changing Chalk. May 2023. University of Brighton “Decolonise Publishing through zine-making” “The Process of Publishing” MA module by Vedrana Velickovic. May 2023. "Hidden Sussex" and Black History Month zine-making workshop with Writing Our Legacy for - Ageing Well Festival, MOSAIC & BMECP. October 2023. “Celebrating Queerness” A zine-making workshop at Coast Is Queer. Oct 2023.
