ágora DIH aims to promote the use of technologies enabling digital transformation within the regional business network, with a special focus on SMEs. ágora DIH is is fully integrated in the regional innovation ecosystem, hence ensuring its relevance and sustainability in the mid- and long-term. Furthermore, the creation of DIH Región de Murcia is aligned to the Research and Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization in the Region of Murcia (RIS3Mur) and to the MurciaIndustria 4.0 Strategy. A total of six organizations have supported the initial creation: - Regional Development Agency of Murcia (INFO) - European Innovation and Business Center in (CEEIC) - European Innovation and Business Center in Murcia (CEEIM) - Information and Communication Technology Center of the Region of Murcia (CENTIC). - Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) - University of Murcia (UM) ágora DIH wants to move towards a more sophisticated value chain, highlighting the importance of an innovation focused on enabling technologies for the digital transformation. Based on this premise, it will focus on the integration and use of technological competences related to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Cybersecurity, 5G Technologies, Cyber Physical Systems or Big Data, in order to enable advances in smart technologies that lead to the so-called factories of the future. The priorities of the Murcia Region are structured around the different economic activities where the region shows a higher competitivity or has the necessary potential to generate economic growth based on knowledge. According to this, Murcia Region has a clear leadership in the Agrofood sector, specially related to its value chain, associated to the water cycle (treatment, depuration and management), the environmental activities and the transport and logistic.
