Agora Underwriting

Agora was originally set up as a special purpose arrangement (SPA) at Lloyd’s to underwrite property business on behalf of Skuld syndicate 1897 from the 1st January 2016. In line with our original plans we are pleased to say that in November 2017 Lloyd's granted permission for Agora Syndicate 3268 to underwrite business attaching from 1st January 2018. As part of the Lloyd’s global brand our financial ratings are: S&P’s ‘A+ (Strong)’ M. Best ‘A (Excellent)’ Fitch ‘AA- (Very Strong)' Run by an experienced management team led by Mike Pritchard, we have a strong focus on service and an entrepreneurial approach to insurance and reinsurance risk. We aim to provide support to our clients as a long term partner and integral part of their risk management strategy. Our focus centres around Direct & Facultative, Binders, and Treaty business worldwide, with the capacity to cover specialty treaty classes across business lines complementary to our portfolio.
