About AGRICOOP NEWS AFRICA

Lumbani Chilenga Investments Limited (LC), a wholly-owned Zambian company founded by Gideon Lumbani Chilenga in 2009. Since our inception, we have continually expanded our portfolio, beginning with our inaugural project, the Agriculture Publication. CURRENT PROJECTS UNDER LC: 1. Agricoop Newspaper: Established in 2009, Agricoop Newspaper aims to bridge the information gap between small to medium-scale farmers and stakeholders in the agriculture sector. 2. Agricoop Award: The Agricoop Awards, initiated in 2022, celebrate the outstanding farmers in Zambia, recognizing their achievements and innovations. Open to farmers nationwide, these awards aim to honor excellence and encourage continuous improvement in the agricultural sector. 3. AgriTalk Africa Podcast AgriTalk Africa is a vibrant platform that brings timely, relevant conversations on agriculture to the forefront across the continent. From expert interviews to farmer stories and market insights, AgriTalk keeps Africa’s agricultural community informed, inspired, and connected. Whether it’s discussing new technologies, sustainable practices, or policy shifts, AgriTalk Africa is where the continent’s agri-voices meet. 4. Farmers choice Awards & Expo Africa FCA & Expo Africa is a Pan-African platform dedicated to celebrating excellence and promoting innovation in agriculture. At the heart of the initiative are the Farmers Choice Awards (FCA), which recognize outstanding service providers, agribusinesses, and cooperatives nominated and voted for by farmers themselves. This farmer-led approach ensures authenticity and highlights those truly making a difference on the ground. The platform also includes the FCA Expo Africa and the FCA Africa Summit. The Expo is a dynamic business-to-business exhibition that connects key stakeholders farmers, suppliers, buyers, policymakers, and development partners for trade, networking, and collaboration. The Summit serves as a thought leadership forum.
