AgriLink is a University of Oxford-based startup using advanced data tools to transform sustainable agricultural financing in sub-Saharan Africa.
The mission is to de-risk sustainable agriculture financing in sub-Saharan Africa for emergent commercial farmers (5-50 hectares). We do this by providing our farmers with targeted assets (e.g., drip irrigation systems) that our yield prediction models identify as 'easy wins' for their farm. We then tailor our asset repayment schedules to fit farmer needs and integrate a comprehensive data collection, monitoring, and intervention platform to improve crop performance and ensure sustainable practices are followed.
The team is advised by the former CEO of FirstWave Group (the owners of the largest aquaculture company in Zambia) and has received pre-seed funding from the Oxford-based Planet Positive Lab accelerator.
