Agrofeed

AGROFEED, which was founded in 1989, is a company devoted to animal nutrition. In addition, it was pioneer in manufacturing pet food in Uruguay. At first, it was devoted to manufacturing balanced food for large animals specializing in dairy substitutes for calves and balanced food for bovines, equines and swine. As of 1998 AGROFEED started to specialize in pets developing first the LAGER brand as the first Premium Food of Uruguay. In 2005 it developed MAXINE brand as the first Super Premium food made locally. At present, both brands are leaders in the Uruguayan Veterinary market. 2007 is marked as the beginning of the development of a new manufacturing plant supplied with the most state of the art technology of the world. Machinery was purchased in Denmark and Holland. Foreign qualified experts were hired for its project and set-up. At the beginning of 2011, the start-up of the new plant takes place transforming Agrofeed into one of the most modern factories in South America. In addition, its land covers 35.000 m2, with more than 4.000 m2 of built areas and an output capacity higher than 5,000 tons per month.
